Post Three: Say No To Drugs

Okay, not only was I hanging out with Morgan fucking Clery (kind of) sharing a flask of rum with him, but he seemed genuinely interested in me. ME. A nobody from Bowmanville, Ontario who was only dragged out by her alcoholic ex-boyfriend colluding friend. Still here I was, walking downtown Toronto with him, like something out of a dream.
Unfortunately, I was possibly about to either 1) scare him away, or 2) sound like a total weirdo. Maybe both.
“I am...a little weird about sharing things. I mean, I do share things. But I have this strange phobia of being drugged...” I began to explain, already realizing how completely nuts I sounded. He just laughed at me.
“I feel as if I should point out that you offered me the drink, and even told me I was a pussy if I didn't accept.”
“I know...”
“And also, how would I drug you? You've watched me take drinks out of it. I don't think anyone's slight of hand is that good.” I stopped, leaning casually against a wall of one of the buildings we were walking by. He placed himself in front of me, with the toothy smile that I had seen so often on his show painted on his face. Morgan fucking Clery.
“Well...what if...say...you had a pill of some sort that you spit from your mouth into the flask...You know, some sort of pill that only dissolves in liquid.”
“But my mouth is full of liquid...it's called saliva.”
“Yes...that's true, but maybe it takes much longer to dissolve...”
“But I'm drinking from it too,” he pointed out.
“Yes...but what if it's something like ecstasy or a drug you like taking, that you don't mind getting high on?”
“I don't do drugs,” he told me, “would you feel better if you checked my mouth for evidence?” I think he was being coy. I actually think he was flirting with me. It was so strange, so unreal. I couldn't stop the words from coming out.
“If I were to do anything with your mouth, it wouldn't be that,” I blurted.
Sweet Jesus, what is wrong with me?
