When the song stopped, I could feel the turmoil within her. She didn't know whether to let go or not. I didn't want her to, but things had been built up. It was inevitable. We couldn't continue dancing in the abandoned pub all hours of the night. There had to be some progression.
So she let go of me, sitting back down on her bar stool.
But I didn't sit down. I felt it, I knew she felt it too. This was my moment, I may not get another one.
The bar stool was tall, her feet dangled off the ground. She was almost at eye level with me when she sat on it. I got closer to her, putting my hands on either side of the bar around her. She didn't flinch this time. She just looked at me. As if she was willing me to continue.
I leaned my face halfway to hers, and she didn't wait. She put her hand on my cheek, guiding my lips to hers. At first softly. Just a little kiss. But when I reciprocated, she parted my lips with her tongue. Swirling around inside my mouth. I grabbed the small of her back, trying to get closer to her. She wrapped her other arm around my waist, pulling me in. I let my hand drift to her thigh, rubbing it softly, and then tugging on her dress a bit. She hooked her leg around mine, straightening her back, moving both her hands around my neck.
I couldn't help myself. I grabbed her ass, lifting her up, as she wrapped her legs all the way around my waist. Her body crashing against mine. She had a surprisingly strong grip for such a tiny thing. I back up to the bar, sitting her on top of it as we continued kissing.
“Excuse me!” We were interrupted by a waitress, “this isn't a hotel.”
Her words pulled us away from each other for a second. Lips still puckered, stunned from the throes of our inexplicable passion.
Elli jumped down from the bar counter, straightening her dress, and looking up at me.
“Um...do you...I mean...do you want to...” She fidgeted shyly.
“My hotel is a few blocks from here,” I reassured her.
“Let's take a cab,” she simpered.
